PET SITTING is providing basic pet care needs while the owner is away.

Traditional pet sitting is done at the client's home and is considered the BEST OPTION when it comes to keeping your pet happy, comfortable, and safe.

Pet sitting includes feeding, providing fresh water, walking, playing/exercising, administering medications/supplements/treatments, scooping litter box(es), picking up and disposing of the waste as well as providing some additional home security measures as requested.  This can include bringing in the mail/packages/newspapers, alternating lights/radios/televisions/blinds/shades, etc.

As certified professional pet sitters who operate a legitimate business, we are licensed by local, state, and federal agencies.  We are fully licensed and bonded.  We are also certified as professional pet sitters and certified as a Pet Tech Instructor(#1497).  We follow the professional pet sitting industry standards and insurance guidelines at all times.  Our forms and paperwork include policies and procedures for all of the services that we offer.  A copy is available on our website.  We will also provide a printed copy upon request.

PROFESSIONAL pet sitters are contracted pet care service providers who are fully licensed, insured, and bonded.  They are NOT independent contractors or hobbyists(like most of those found on the vendor sites like Rover, Doggie Vacay, Care, etc.).  They have been through a certification program and must keep up credentials to maintain their certification status.  They are experienced professionals who run legitimate businesses and are always happy to provide documentation, references, etc.

A true professional will provide clear descriptions of their services, rates, policies & procedures, etc. They will provide references and written documentation upon request.  MOST are certified in pet first-aid, CPR and emergency care and some may be accredited/certified professional pet sitters through a national/international professional pet sitting organization. Most established individuals/businesses will also have a website.  With all of the FREE sites available, there is no reason why any professional pet sitter shouldn't have a website (NOT just a FREE social media presence).

PET SITTING

A standard pet sitting visit is 30 minutes.

Please remember that we will stay until the job is DONE!  Sometimes extra time is required to address any

potential or actual problems that may arise.  Whether it is cleaning up "accidents" or tending to a sick pet.

We take our job seriously and deal with each situation as it arises.

We will provide food, water, scoop the litterbox, provide exercise/walk, pick up the waste,

provide lots of TLC and playtime(when appropriate), provide additional home security measures as requested, etc.

The actual time for each visit may vary with the complexity of the routine, number of pets, and whether or not there

are any additional issues that need to be addressed.  We will not leave pets in a situation that may be dangerous

or otherwise unsafe.  Safety is always our top priority.

RATES

$20/30 minute visit for local clients(<15 minutes from our home in Lee, MA).

$25/30 minutes for clients who live outside of our immediate service area(>15 minutes from our home in Lee, MA).

$5 for each additional 15 minutes that is required to complete the service.

PUPPIES, OLDER PETS,  AND CONVALESCING PETS

It is important to note that puppies, older pets, and convealescing pets often require additional time and attention and may present more of a liability.

For this reason, an additional fee may be required.    If we determine that a pet will require additional time, it will be billed accordingly.

It is sometimes difficult to predict the exact amount of time that a visit will take.

The first few visits will usually help us to determine whether or not we need to allow additional time to complete each visit.
IF we find that we have underestimated the amount of time required, we will bill separately for the additional time

and will present the bill at the end of the service period.  Payment will be required upon receipt.

Additional time is billed in 15 minute increments only.

$10 for each additional 15 minutes required.

PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING

TO OUR FOSTER/EMERGENCY PET CARE FUND!

Berkshire Pet Pals, LLC will continue to foster pets in need at our own expense.

This fund helps us to provide pet care services, supplies, and obtain veterinary treatment for the foster pets(cats and dogs) that we take in and care for.  We will find good homes for them once they are stable and ready for their forever home.  Once in our custody, they will NEVER be surrendered.

If you know of a stray or abandoned pet that needs shelter, vet care, or a good home, please feel free to CONTACT US.

Our space, availability, and resources are VERY LIMITED, but we will always work with you to find the best possible solution for the pets!

If you or someone you know should find yourself in extenuating circumstances and need pet care services, foster care, or temporary care for your pet(s), please
